Quarterly Update

The 2016 AAE SoCal Showdown was our big event here at the Easton Archery Center of Excellence.  As one of the last big national events before the Olympics, the event drew in not only our nation’s best archers but also athletes from other countries including Great Britain, Canada, Colombia, Korea, Philippines and Mexico.

This year’s competition brought new fun and challenges.  To add to the excitement of our team round competition, the finals were held during our Party and BBQ at the new center.  We got to enjoy some close team matches as they competed for gold.  The evening was capped off by our iron bullseye competition which was a ton of fun to watch.  The stakes were high for those brave archers as surviving the iron bullseye meant they would walk home with a GoPro and full set of accessories.

After SoCal, our center also had the chance to host the Cal State Games which is a great family and community centered competition.  It was a full house here with both our indoor and outdoor ranges full. The individual Olympic Round matches also saw some new excitement as the individual gold medal matches were held at the San Diego County Fair, making for a unique finals venue and opportunity to showcase our sport to the public.

As look ahead to the last half of 2016 we are excited to be launching some new programs and events!
