Awards will be given to the top 3 archers in each division. Separate awards will also be given that include guests in the rankings.

The Joy Lee Archery Academy has several clubs in the Southern California area.  The Academy provides excellent coaching with a specialty in Olympic-style recurve.  Each year the Academy holds two championship events, an indoor and outdoor event.  All recurve archers are welcome to participate.  

The competition is be a single day filled with a morning ranking round, great food, fun team matches, and awards. The JLA Invitational is open to all Olympic-style recurve archers of any age and skill level. For archers in the Joy Lee Archery Academy, separate awards will be given for our 6th JLA Championships. We are excited to be bringing together archers from all over Southern California and look forward to spending a fun, archery-filled day with you.

• 72 Arrow Ranking Round (2 rounds – 6 ends of 6 arrows)

• Lottery Team Matches – fun team round matches. All are encouraged to participate.

• Mixed Team Matches – TBA

DIVISIONS (Olympic Recurve only)
10 meters – novice (shot for less than 3 months; or ages 9 and under)

20 meters – beginners (shot for 6 months or less; or ages 12 and under)

40 meters – intermediate (shot for a year or less; or ages 14 and under)

60 meters – advanced (shot for more than a year)

70 meters – Resident Athletes & Adults (21 and over)

*122cm target face used for all divisions
**archers may shoot up a division if they wish

Organizers will create the teams based on ranking round scores. Genders may be mixed. There will be three divisions:
     • Novices (10m)
     • Beginners and Intermediates combined (20m)
     • Advanced and RA/Adults (60m)

Please make sure you have the sight settings needed if shooting a different distance from the ranking round.

Awards are given to teams for each distance/division.
